Hiking Saghro Morocco: Explore the Pre-Saharan Massif in Southern Morocco

Embark on an unforgettable hiking adventure in the south of Morocco, discovering the unique beauty of the Saghro Massif. Known for its exceptional geology, Jebel Saghro offers a diverse landscape of rugged plateaus, towering cliffs, deep gorges, and steep peaks. As you trek through this awe-inspiring terrain, you’ll encounter camel caravans, lush gorges adorned with boxwood bushes, and striking conglomerate monoliths, all bathed in the warm light of the southern sun.

This region, just before the vast Sahara, boasts dramatic lunar landscapes and serves as a cultural haven for the Ait Atta tribe, with their traditional Bedouin tents and herds of goats. Trekking in Saghro offers a perfect mix of nature, adventure, and culture, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a unique experience.

From September to May, we invite you to explore the stunning Saghro Massif, located south of the Rose Valley, the gateway to the Draa Valley, Oasis, and the desert. The volcanic peaks rise up to 2,712 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views of plateaus, canyons, and remote mountain scenery.
