After breakfast, depart Marrakech for a scenic journey through the High Atlas Mountains. Enjoy panoramic views and stop in traditional Berber villages along the way. Continue to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its mud-brick kasbahs. Explore this picturesque site, then head to Ouarzazate, the "Gateway to the Sahara." Continue your journey through the Draa Valley, arriving in the Dades Valley for your overnight stay.
Today, venture through the dramatic Dades Gorges and the breathtaking Todra Gorges, known for its towering cliffs and stunning landscapes. Continue on to Tinjdad and then Merzouga, located at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Here, you will embark on a camel ride across the golden dunes of the Sahara, where you will experience the tranquil beauty of the desert. Spend the night in a traditional Berber camp, enjoying dinner, music, and stargazing in the heart of the desert.
Today, immerse yourself in the rich culture and traditions of the desert. Visit nearby Berber villages to learn about local life and customs, and explore the fascinating desert landscapes. Experience the nomadic way of life, interact with the local Berber people, and enjoy a leisurely day in the desert. Return to Merzouga in the evening for another unforgettable night in the desert.
After breakfast, depart Merzouga and travel through the scenic desert landscapes toward Fes. Pass through the town of Arfoud, known for its fossils, and continue to Midelt, nestled between the Atlas Mountains. Stop in Azrou, a charming town known for its cedar forests, and visit Ifrane, often referred to as "Little Switzerland" due to its European-style architecture and cool climate. Arrive in Fes by evening, where you will check into your hotel or riad for a restful night.
Your final day is dedicated to exploring Fes, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital. Visit the Fes el-Bali Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore its labyrinthine streets filled with history and tradition. See landmarks such as the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Al-Qarawiyyin University (the world’s oldest university), and the famous tanneries.
